Engaged in the exploration and expression of human ideas and life experience, his work at times includes drawing and painting, sculpture, digital media and projection, installation and intervention, photography and sound. His recent work has explored the interplay between human needs and spiritual ideals.
James Kessell's work has been shown at various venues in the UK, the USA, The Netherlands and Jerusalem. It has also been seen internationally as part of a number of publishing and design projects.
